Jaz Henry – Luxembourg, EU

A very small team this month but we sure were productive as ever! Jaz sure knew his way around strandings by the end of the month after having to deal with very rotten humpback whales, including pulling out a set of baleen plates, retrieving the body of a dwarf sperm whale calf and performing a necropsy on a Heaviside’s dolphin on the beach. We also had several cases of oiled penguins of which Jaz had to help catch one. Off days were spent having a traditional ‘braai’ on the beach, climbing dune 7, sandboarding and a trip to Sandwich Harbour.
