Dorothy is the NDP’s field officer based in Walvis Bay for 2019-2020 – so she is our “person on the ground” and first point of contact for the project.  Her role is to keep the project running smoothly, and n between major field seasons attend meetings, coordinate sightings reports, attend strandings, keep the equipment and licenses up to date and of course keep the education center up and running!

About Dorothy:  My love of the ocean and the amazing creatures within it led me to study Marine Biology, and my desire to protect and preserve these creatures led me to the Namibian Dolphin Project. I am in charge of the technical side of things, keeping everything working so that the scientists can perform their vital research with ease. It is a rewarding and eye-opening experience, and a job I enjoy every second of.
